PRF in Horses
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a second-generation autologous platelet concentrate that does not require an anticoagulant and naturally contains a fibrin clot. • PRF contains more concentrated platelets and growth factors compared with platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

How It Works

Developed by Bioptron AG, a Swiss company under the Zepter Group, this therapy is based on a patented technology that emits light similar to the sun’s electromagnetic spectrum but without harmful UV radiation. It is marketed as a non-invasive, safe, and effective treatment for a wide range of medical and aesthetic applications, supported by clinical studies and certifications.
The therapy uses a specialized device that emits light with specific characteristics:
- Polarized Light: Achieved through a Brewster mirror system, the light waves move in parallel planes, allowing deeper tissue penetration (up to 2.5 cm) compared to non-polarized light. This enhances its therapeutic effects by stimulating cellular processes.
- Hyperpolarized Light: The system incorporates fullerene C60 molecules in its Hyperlight Optics, which create a unique “quantum hyperlight” with a sunflower-like photon pattern. This is said to align with biological structures, promoting optimal cellular function through the Faraday effect and Fibonacci-sequential photon arrangement.
